The Rock Hill School District embraces a mission, which states that working together with student, home & community, ensures that all students have the skills, knowledge & desire to become life long learners & succeed in a changing world. Because adults can enable students to fulfill their potential by developing positive relationships with them, it therefore is the philosophy of the district that a parent is the child's most important teacher. Families need empowerment to develop greater skills. The Parent Education Partnership will provide leadership, education & support for the implementation of quality programs that enable families to become their child’s best first teacher.

Greenwood Community Children’s Center
http://www.greenwoodchildren.org/index.html
The Greenwood Community Children's Center developed out of a
growing awareness among pediatricians that many of their patients have serious problems that
are not specifically medical—such as problems resulting from dysfunctional families,
violence in the community, absence of a father, or an inexperienced teenage mother with no
emotional support from a mentor. The Children's Center has an extensive family education and
home visitation program staffed by 11 professionals. There is extensive collaboration with
other social service agencies and medical service providers that makes Greenwood Community
Children's Center unique.
